Job Overview:
This is a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Executive Chef & Kitchen Leadership team. The Line Cook plays an important role in supporting the Club’s restaurant culinary operations and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our Members and guests. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items for the Club’s restaurant outlets according to established recipes, specifications, and quality standards. The Line Cook will complete daily mise en place,
Hourly wage range: $19.00–$22.00, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
The following outlines the primary responsibilities of this role, including but not limited to:
- Prepare and cook restaurant menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure assigned stations are properly prepared and stocked for service.
- Execute orders efficiently during service while maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation, portioning, and timing.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen stations and the front-of-house team to support smooth and timely restaurant service.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstations throughout the shift.
- Follow established food safety, sanitation, temperature control, storage, and FIFO procedures.
- Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and organizing food products and kitchen supplies as required.
- Minimize food waste, assist with opening and closing duties, and perform other culinary duties as assigned by Kitchen Leadership.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary culinary education or equivalent training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional culinary environment.
- Previous restaurant, à la carte, or high-volume line cooking experience preferred.
- Valid Food Handler Certification required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team.
